Siberian Chaga mushrooms

These chaga mushrooms are harvested from remote subarctic Siberian forests.

How to make Chaga Tea from Chaga mushrooms chunks

Select 4-5 MELS chaga pieces to add to a large pot with approx. 1 litre of water.

Bring the water to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer for a minimum of 15 minutes, but preferably up to 3-4 hours, depending on how strong you want the tea. Strain the tea and set the pieces aside. The pieces can be used up to two or three more times, until they become soft and crumble. The infusion is served as hot tea, or cooled as a cold beverage. Add sweetener if needed, such as honey or stevia. It stays in the fridge for up to 7 days.

For one cup of tea: grate a chaga piece into a powder and place in a tea strainer. Let steep for approx. 15 mins
